AIR FRYER PIZZA DOGS
Perfectly crisp hot dogs and pizza toppings are combined in this kid-friendly recipe. They are made in an air fryer from start to finish and ready in no time.

Steps:
- Preheat an air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Make 4 slits down each hot dog. Place hot dogs in the air fryer basket and cook for 3 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board using tongs.
- Place a pepperoni half in each slit of the hot dogs. Divide pizza sauce between buns and fill with the hot dogs, mozzarella cheese, and olives.
- Return hot dogs to the air fryer basket and cook until buns are crisp and cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.

These air fried hot dogs are so good! You can cook the hot dogs to what ever doneness you like. Just check them halfway though the cooking time and adjust the remainder of your time to your personal taste and texture.

- Lightly spray hot dogs with oil spray. Place in air fryer basket or air fryer rack.
- Air Fry at 380°F for 8-10 minutes depending on your preferred texture and size of hot dogs. If you like your hot dogs extra crispy (similar to grilled hot dogs), Air Fry at 400°F for about 6-8 minutes. Flip the hot dogs half way through cooking.
- Place hot dogs in the buns and cook in the air fryer for about one more minute for the buns to warm and crisp. Or warm the buns separately. Serve with your favorite toppings!
- One note about the hot dogs: they are sold in differnet sizes and lenghts! So after you cook your first batch, you'll know exactly how long to cook your future batches in the air fryer.

- Prep: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spray air fryer basket well with oil. Pat mozzarella dry with paper towels (to prevent a soggy pizza).
- Cook Crust: Roll out pizza dough to the size of your air fryer basket. Carefully transfer it to the air fryer, then brush lightly with a teaspoon or so of olive oil. Cook for 3 minutes.
- Assemble: To the precooked crust, spoon on a light layer of tomato sauce and sprinkle with chunks of buffalo mozzarella.
- Bake: For about 7 minutes until crust is crispy and cheese has melted. Optionally top with basil, grated parmesan, and pepper flakes just before serving.
