Air Fryer Kielbasa, Potatoes, Onions and Peppers image

This quick recipe brings the full hearty flavors of the classic ingredients to your dinner plate tonight. This 30 minute meal will be a family fave!

1 package Kielbasa
1 Onion (large, sweet)
1 Red Pepper
4 Potatoes
Spray Olive Oil
1 cup BBQ Sauce
Garlic Salt, Seasoned Salt, and Pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Wash the potatoes and red pepper. Peel the onion.
  • Chop the potatoes, red pepper and sweet onion into bite sized pieces. Keep them to a uniform thickness. Place in a bowl.
  • Slice the kielbasa into ⅛ - ¼" slices and add to the bowl
  • Add garlic salt, seasoned salt and pepper. Toss gently.
  • Add the BBQ sauce and toss again to cover all of the ingredients
  • Set the Air Fryer to 350 degrees and add the kielbasa and vegetables. Make sure to keep enough space around the ingredients to keep good air flow.
  • Set the timer for 25 minutes, and turn them over every 8-10 minutes.
  • The kielbasa should be cooked with browning on the edges and the potatoes should be fork tender. If they are not, add them back to the air fryer for another five minutes

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine peppers, onion, olive oil, and salt in a large bowl. Transfer mixture to the air fryer basket. Cook, stirring once, until peppers and onion are tender and beginning to brown, 7 to 9 minutes. Transfer to a serving bowl. Add cilantro and lime juice; toss to coat.

This simple skillet meal is my adaptation of a recipe I found recently at AllRecipes. I can see changing the seasonings to create different flavors from the same basic recipe.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 (16 ounce) package smoked kielbasa
6 medium potatoes
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 large yellow onion
Old Bay Seasoning
seasoning salt

Steps:

  • Cut potatoes (scrubbed with skins left on) into bite-sized pieces.
  • Thinly slice both bell peppers and the onion.
  • Quarter Kielbasa length-wise and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Place Kielbasa and potatoes in skillet. Season with Old Bay and Seasoning Salt. Cover and cook 25 minute or until potatoes are almost tender. Stir occasionally.
  • Add peppers and onion. Cook 5 minute or until peppers and onion are just tender. Adjust seasoning if needed.

  • Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Place kielbasa and potatoes in the saucepan. Cover, and cook 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
  • Mix red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper into the saucepan, and continue cooking 5 minutes, until peppers are just tender.

1 package kielbasa or other smoked sausage, cut into 1/4 inch rounds
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 large onion, diced
2 - 3 large potatoes, peeled and diced
3 tablespoons olive oil, separated
4 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper
1 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, skillet heat 2 tablespoons olive oil and 4 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat. Add the diced potatoes and season with salt and pepper. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, around 8 to 10 minutes. In a separate large skillet heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the Kielbasa and cook until the sausage is lightly browned on both sides.. Add the peppers, onions and paprika and cook until the onions are tender, and the kielbasa is cooked through. Add the browned potatoes to the sausage, pepper and onions in the large saucepan. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes and serve.
