This easy method for Air Fryer Frozen Veggie Burgers turns a frozen vegetable burger into a crispy vegetarian burger you can serve for lunch or dinner on a bun or chopped up in a salad in 10 minutes or less. Great for any air fryer or Ninja Foodi!

4 Veggie Burgers (Frozen)

Steps:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375F. This will take about 3-5 minutes depending on the size and power of your air fryer. Don't skip this step!
  • While the air fryer is preheating, remove the veggie burgers from the package. There is no need to add additional oil or even grease the air fryer basket.
  • Place the veggie burgers in a single layer at the bottom of the air fryer basket and set the timer for 15 minutes. You may not need to use all of that time, but it's best to have more on the clock in case you do.
  • After about 8 minutes, flip over the veggie burgers gently using a spatula. Air fry for another 5-8 minutes or until veggie burgers are crispy on the outside and warmed through on the inside. Remove with a spatula and serve warm on a toasted bun.

2 frozen veggie burger patties
2 buns
lettuce
condiments of your choice

Steps:

  • To start, preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • When the air fryer is up to heat, add the frozen veggie patties.
  • Cook the veggie burgers for 9-13 minutes total until they are fully heated through and slightly crispy on the outside. Flip the veggie burgers about halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking and crisping. There are lots of different kinds of frozen veggie burgers and every air fryer is different so your cooking time can vary slightly.
  • When the veggie burgers are cooked, remove them from the air fryer basket but keep the air fryer on. Split open the buns and put them into the air fryer. Cook the buns for 2-3 minutes until toasted to your liking.
  • Once the buns are heated, remove them from the air fryer. Assemble the veggie burgers with lettuce, tomato, and condiments of your choice. Enjoy!

1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1 small tomato, seeded and finely chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1 large egg
1 teaspoon minced fresh cilantro
1 garlic clove, minced
4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
Optional: Reduced-fat sour cream and guacamole

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°. Place beans in a food processor; cover and process until blended. Transfer to a large bowl. Add bread crumbs, tomato, jalapeno, egg, cilantro and garlic. Mix until combined. Shape into 4 patties., In batches, place patties on greased tray in air-fryer basket. Cook until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes. Turn; cook until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes longer. Serve on buns. If desired, top with sour cream and guacamole.
