This easy Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipe is made in 5 minutes with 9 ingredients. It's the best pizza sauce perfect for homemade pizza nights.

6 oz tomato paste ((1 -6 oz can))
15 oz tomato sauce ((1 - 15 oz can))
1-2 TBS oregano (to taste)
2 TBS Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ TBS garlic salt
¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp sugar* (coconut sugar for paleo or omit)

Steps:

  • Mix tomato paste and sauce together in a medium size bowl until well combined (all the lumps of paste are incorporated into the sauce).
  • Add the rest of the ingredients (oregano, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, garlic salt, pepper and sugar) and mix well!
  • Use in your favorite pizza recipe!

  • Cover and refrigerate for the flavors to meld at least 3 hours or store in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 weeks.

1 can (15oz/420g) tomatoes, whole or crushed
1 can (6oz/170g) tomato paste
¼ of a small onion
2 large garlic cloves,
1 heaped tablespoon dried Italian herbs
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients and pulse until smooth.
  • Store in the fridge in a resealable container for up to 5 days. Or, you could also freeze the sauce in ice cube trays, pop out cubes, and place in a plastic bag to continue freezing.

  • Divide sauce among twelve 1/2-cup freezer-safe containers; store in freezer until ready to use.

  • Dump it all together and stir very well to incorporate. Add the salt last so you can taste & add it to your preference. Heat it up when you are ready to use!
  • (This sauce will be thicker and less sweet than store-bought. Feel free to add a little honey if you want it to be more similar to the jars you find in the grocery store. Although we encourage you to try it as is!)
