2 large sweet onions (sliced)
5 lb. pork shoulder roast (approximate weight)
2 Tbsp McCormick Grill Mates Roasted Garlic & Herb Seasoning Mix
1 tsp salt
2 C of chicken broth

Steps:

  • Grease a 6 qt. slow cooker with cooking spray.
  • Place onions in bottom of cooker.
  • Rub pork with seasoning blend and salt.
  • Place on top of onions. Pour broth over roast.
  • Cover and cook on high for 6-7 hours or low for 9-10 or until meat pulls apart easily with a fork.
  • Remove from crockpot and shred meat. Remove any large pieces of fat.
  • Save some of the juice to spoon over pork when serving.

2 pkgs brown gravy mix (divided)
2 cups water (divided)

Steps:

  • Spray your crock pot with cooking spray
  • Place your roast in your 4-quart crock pot fat side up
  • Surround your roast with your potato wedges, onion halves and carrots
  • Mix together one of your brown gravy mixes with 1 cup cold water
  • Pour over your roast and veggies
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours (total)
  • An hour before serving, mix together your remaining brown gravy mix and 1 cup cold water
  • Pour over roast and veggies
  • Cover again for the last hour of cooking.

3-5 pound pork roast ( pork shoulder, pork butt or Boston butt)
10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
10.5 ounces condensed French Onion Soup

Steps:

  • Mix together cream of mushroom soup and condensed French Onion Soup.
  • Optional step: dredge thawed pork roast in 1/2 cup flour that has been seasoned with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Brown all sides of pork in a skillet of hot vegetable oil.
  • If you do not brown the roast, season all sides with salt and pepper.
  • Add pork roast to slow cooker insert. Pour soup mixture over top.
  • Cook on low for 8-12 hours or high for 5-6 hours or until the pork is fork tender.

I tried this cut of meat when it was on sale, and for lack of any other ideas I took suggestions from the back of the label, with a few tweaks (like making gravy). This is a very popular dish at our house, and it could not be easier! Instead of rubbing the roast with the onion soup mix and then adding the cranberry sauce, you can also just mix the onion soup mix with the cranberry sauce and pour the whole mixture over the roast.

1 (3 pound) pork sirloin roast
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
2 tablespoons butter, or to taste
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, or as needed
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Rub pork roast all over with onion soup mix and place roast in the slow cooker. Pour cranberry sauce over roast.
  • Cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove roast to a platter, reserving juices in the slow cooker.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Whisk flour into melted butter to form a paste. 2 sweet bell peppers (red, orange or yellow) (cut into strips)
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
6 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Steps:

  • Trim any large pieces of fat from the roast, then place the pork, bell peppers, teriyaki sauce, vinegar, garlic and red pepper flakes in a crock pot on low for 7-8 hours. or high for 5-6 hours.
  • After it has cooked, use a fork to shred the pork and remove about half of the juices in the slow cooker. Add back in the shredded pork and the peanut butter and stir until combined.
  • Serve over jasmine rice (or whatever rice you prefer) and top with any combination of the toppings that you prefer. Enjoy!

1 jar(s) pepperoncini peppers

Steps:

  • 1. Put what ever size boneles Pork Roast in you Crock Pot, set on LOW. Pour the juice from the jar of pepperoncini peppers into the crock pot. (12 oz jar works for 2 to 3 lb roast) Pull or cut the stems off the peppers and add them to the crock pot. (They will squirt juice so I do this over the crock pot).
  • 2. Put the lid on and forget it. When I get home from work (6 to 8 hours later) all I have to do is shred the pork right in the crock pot, making sure to shred up the peppers too and cover it and keep it warm until we are ready to dish it up.
  • 3. We usually serve this on sub rolls, but we have also rolled it up in flour tortillas with some grated cheese.
